Corpus Christi Atheists brings together freethinkers, humanists, and skeptics across the Coastal Bend — for friendship, service, and a community that protects the separation of church and state.
A home for freethinkers on the Texas coast
Corpus Christi Atheists formed in 2011 when a small group of local nontheists began meeting to talk openly about science, skepticism, and secular values. What started as a handful of members has grown into the Coastal Bend’s largest and most active secular community.
Today we’re atheists, agnostics, humanists, and skeptics of every background, united by a shared commitment to reason, compassion, and the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment. We gather for community, show up for our neighbors, and speak up when government and religion blur together.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to belong here, just an open mind.
Three ways we show up
Community & Social
Monthly meetups, potlucks, game nights, and coastal outings that bring Coastal Bend freethinkers together.
Volunteer & Service
Beach cleanups, food drives, and local service projects — showing good comes without a god.
Advocacy & Education
Defending the separation of church and state, and hosting talks and discussions that make the positive case for secularism.
